What RoundMe is
RoundMe is a territory-claiming game for runners and cyclists. You upload GPS routes from your activities and they are converted into claimed areas on a shared map. Teams compete to claim the most territory.
Data we collect
- Your username and password (password stored as a bcrypt hash — never in plain text)
- An optional display name, bio, and avatar image
- GPS route data from GPX files you upload directly, or imported from Strava
- Territory polygon geometry derived from your routes
Strava integration
If you connect Strava, RoundMe requests the activity:read scope to fetch your activity GPS streams. We use this data solely to generate territory polygons for the game. Specifically:
- Your Strava access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest
- We never share your Strava data with third parties
- We automatically import your most recent activity when you load the dashboard
- You can disconnect Strava at any time from your profile page, which deletes all stored tokens and removes your imported Strava activities and derived territory
Data we do not collect
- No payment information
- No advertising identifiers or third-party tracking
- No data is sold or shared with advertisers
Data retention and deletion
Your data is stored for as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at the address below.
